This summer, Ford and Domino’s Pizza teamed up to try an experiment with sell-driving vehicles delivering pizza in Ann Arbor, Michigan. Customers were able to track the delivery of their pizza through GPS and Dominos created an ingenious way for the customer to unlock the Domino’s Heatwave Compartment that holds the pizza. The do this by texting the customer (pre-paid order) a code that they enter to retrieve their pizza. Customers will have to go outside to the self-driving Ford vehicle to access this compartment.
This type of use of self-driving vehicles isn’t that far away. What do you think of this type of technology?
