We are fortunate to have many local landmarks that can be enjoyed as a day trip in the Lakeland. With our typical summer events and community activities cancelled or postponed due to Covid-19, a short road trip to explore our regional neighbouhood is great way to get your family out of the house. Local landmarks such as the Giant Mushroom in Vilna or the large Pyrogy in Glendon are just a couple of the free sites to snap a family photo for instragram! Pop your car’s hatch and enjoy a tailgate picnic. Be creative and play favourite car games on the drive like “Eye Spy”. Or make a punch card listing all the local landmarks – try to complete your card by the end of summer. Food trucks are popping up for the season and ice cream treats from a drive-thru are both summer highlights.
